Number of home-grown players in European football has increased

For the first time in ten years, the number of home-grown players in Europe's top divisions has increased, an analysis by the CIES Football Observatory shows.

However, it's difficult to claim that the tendency towards fewer home-grown players has reversed, the research group states.

The Premier League is among the leagues with the least number of home-grown players.
